Social media is a valuable marketing tool in today’s business landscape, as it allows you to share content and engage with your audience, as well as expand your reach and develop brand awareness. Delivered over three engaging sessions, this series will help you create and/or develop your social media platforms, create content, market your business strategically, and advertise on social media.

Introduction to Social Media
Step through the basics of social media for small business owners, including setting up a page or refining your existing ones. Learn how social media platforms work and which ones may be suitable for your business, as well as how to establish content pillars, access analytics, and measure how your posts are performing.
Build a Social Media Strategy
Social Media is an effective way to market your small business, and with the right strategy, you can make sure your digital presence is engaging and working in your favour. This workshop will guide you through creating a social media content strategy for your business, including defining your intended audience, improving copy writing, and scheduling and repurposing content.
Create Content for Social Media
Now that you know how to use your social media platforms and have a strategy in place, it’s time to start creating content! Keeping your strategy front of mind, you’ll learn about creating content that is authentic to you and your brand, what content is favoured by social media algorithms, fundamental design concepts, and how to attract and engage customers through content.
The Targeted Skills for Small Business program is a NSW Government initiative, established to deliver training for small business owners and employees of small businesses who want to better understand how to use the latest technology and gain up-to-date knowledge to improve their business operations.
