If you're looking to work in any venue that offers gambling services in NSW, completing an approved Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) course is a legal requirement. Zeal Futures provides the essential training to help you start your hospitality career with confidence and compliance.

This accredited course, which leads to the SITHGAM022 unit of competency, is designed to encourage a professional, responsible, and caring approach within the industry. The NSW Government's current focus on minimising gambling harm is central to both the RCG and RSA courses, preparing you to create safe and ethical environments for patrons.

Funding & Eligibility
This training is fully subsidised for eligible students by the NSW Government under the ACE program. There are two parts to determining eligibility.
Part 1: You must meet all the criteria below:
- Be 15 years or older and no longer in secondary education (excluding registered home-schooled students).
- Live or work in NSW.
- Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or meet Refugee, Humanitarian Visa, or Asylum Seeker eligibility.
Part 2: You must meet one of the following criteria:
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Living with a disability, or you are the child, spouse, or partner of someone who has disability
- English is your second language
- Experiencing difficulty with reading and writing, maths, and/or digital skills that are preventing you from studying or gaining a job
- Receiving a Centrelink benefit, or you are the child, spouse, or partner of someone who receives a Centrelink benefit
- 15-24 years old, no longer at secondary school, and experiencing barriers to studying or getting a job - registered home school students may apply
- Experiencing significant hardship that can be verified by a government agency, medical professional, or relevant support agency
- Experiencing barriers to completing a study or enrolling in a course
Disclaimer
Applications for individuals with a current RCG competency card will not be enrolled. If you need to renew your competency card, you will need to complete a Liquor and Gaming NSW online RCG refresher course. Please note there is a 28-day grace period after the expiry of your competency card to complete the refresher responsible gambling services course. Click here for more information.
Fees
Students who meet the eligibility criteria for ACE-funded training will not be required to pay any course fees.

This course is available at our Gateshead and Ourimbah campuses.
