Multi-Trade Taster Workshop
Course information.
Learning Outcomes
As part of this course, students will achieve the following learning outcomes:
- Work, health and safety in fitting and fabrication
- Practical trade skills with workshop experience
Students will complete the following units of competency:
- CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
- MEM18001 - Use hand tools
- MEM16006 - Organise and communicate information
- MEM13015 - Work safely and effectively in manufacturing and engineering
- MEM11011 - Undertake manual handling
Funding & Eligibility
This training is fully subsidised for eligible students by the NSW Government under the ACE program.
If you meet one or more of the following criteria, you may be eligible for ACE funded training:
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Living with a disability, or you are the child, spouse, or partner of someone who has disability
- English is your second language
- Experiencing difficulty with reading and writing, maths, and/or digital skills that are preventing you from studying or gaining a job
- Receiving a Centrelink benefit or you are the child, spouse, or partner of someone who receives a Centrelink benefit
- 15-24 years old, no longer at secondary school, and experiencing barriers to studying or getting a job - registered home school students may apply
- Experiencing significant hardship that can be verified by a government agency, medical professional, or relevant support agency
- Experiencing barriers to completing study or enrolling in a course

Fees
Students who meet the eligibility criteria for ACE funded training will not be required to pay any course fees.
For students who are not eligible for funded training, please contact us to enquire.
Delivery
This course will be delivered face to face at our training facilities.
This course is available at our Rutherford, Gateshead, and Ourimbah campuses.
Dates

Students are required to wear appropriate PPE when attending training, including long pants & a long-sleeve shirt, as well as steel capped work boots.
