How long will a traineeship take?
Traineeships are typically completed within 12 to 24 months, depending on the specific qualification. Early completion is possible if you finish your formal training ahead of schedule. High school students can also commence their journey earlier by completing Stage 1 through a school-based program.
Do you get paid while completing traineeships and apprenticeships?
Yes, these are paid employment positions. As a Zeal Futures employee, you will receive weekly pay in accordance with the relevant industry Award. Some of our host employers also offer above-market rates to attract and retain high-quality talent within their teams.
Do school based apprenticeships & traineeships count towards my HSC?
Yes, your formal studies contribute toward your HSC through eligible units. We recommend consulting with your school’s careers advisor to effectively schedule your training alongside your certificate requirements, ensuring you balance your academic and professional goals.
Will I get time at work to complete my traineeship program?
Trainees are typically allocated three hours per week during work hours to focus on their studies. You will work closely with your host supervisor and your Workforce Solutions Specialist to coordinate a schedule that balances your work duties with your academic requirements.
What happens if I don't complete my traineeship program?
We are committed to helping you reach the finish line through ongoing support. However, should your circumstances change, you will retain any qualifications or credits already earned. These achievements remain valid and can be applied toward future studies or career opportunities.
